This Roman Catholic church (Kisha Shën Katerina, Crkva svete Katarine) can be seen on the road leading to the Patriarchal Monastery of Peć. Dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, it was erected in 1928 on the site of a former Catholic chapel. Built on the model of Croatian churches, it has three naves. Peja/Peć is said to have about 2,500 Catholic inhabitants, mainly Albanians and Roma. Nearby is the Clock Tower Mosque (Xhamia e Kullës së Sahatit), a rudimentary building dating from the 17th century.
