Housed in the city's former courthouse, the museum displays prehistoric remains found in the region, objects from local daily life, and a beautiful collection of clothing and handicrafts from all the communities of Vojvodina. The museum's permanent collection of 400,000 items is divided into four sections: archaeology, Roman times, the Middle Ages and ethnology, such as books from the Orthodox monasteries of Fruška Gora and tapestries illustrating the migration of Serbs in the 17th century.
