CHIESA DI SANT'AGOSTINO AND BIBLIOTECA APROSIANA
Church restored to its beauty thanks to a restoration in Ventimiglia.
The Sant'Agostino church, an integral part of the convent built in 1487, has been restored to its former beauty. The restoration of the south-facing façade on Via Cavour has brought back the intensity of the two-tone play on the stone, the volumes of the ogival windows and the rose above the portal. The cloister, with its superb lawn, is a haven of peace. In 1600, the monk Beato Angelico Aprosio decided to establish Liguria's first public library here: the Aprosiana Library.
