Préfecture de la Sangha-Serve, Nola is an active town located in the heart of the diamond region, but its disordered town planning and the façades of facades give it a western atmosphere. Since the closure of the Sesam forest company, Nola has been living idle. The economic fabric is country. As a city of diamond and gold, Nola suffered greatly from the crisis of 2008-2009 with the fall in diamond prices. Strategies for conversion to gold, less profitable but more stable, are emerging. Attracted a few years ago by the prospect of an El Dorado, «Chadians» poured into hundreds. They have good relations with local populations, despite the tensions that arise time around the numerous frauds affecting the diamond sector.A close look at Nola does not lack charm. The central street (2nd roundabout) is animated by small shops: Grocery stores, medicine, cafeterias, méchouis… So many shops held by Muslims have flowered throughout the city, which we particularly recommend healthy and abundant food (as everywhere else in the city). The inhabitants, balance on their seat like metronomes, seem to spend their days waiting for the arrival of the night. It comes from the bars and customers of the corner an alcoholic euphoria worthy of a saloon, with its prostitutes, its men in transit came to know which business, its sellers who alpaguent you on the hastily, the hand open on a pinch of rough diamonds or tiny nuggets of gold… Nola has neither electricity nor running water. and condemns it to passing tourism. However, it has a good telephone network.
