530 km southwest of Bangui, in the heart of the tropical rainforest, is the National Park of Dzanga-Progepp (1 220 km 2), created in 1990, in particular the town of Bayanga. Here, the discovery of nature makes sense. The Baaka Pygmies, closely associated with tourist activities, sometimes serve as guides to discover mammal species and over 7 000 kinds of plants. They also organize parts of game hunting or initiations to the forest, including medicinal plants. Tracking of gorillas, observation of elephants in a natural saltworks, meeting with agile mangabés, part of filet hunting with Pygmies: a more than seductive menu. Here, not a lazy traveller's circuit, but an authentic, rational and scientific approach to this exceptional and rare fauna.
