On the banks of the Limpopo River, Sherwood is a border village with South Africa. The place is of little interest to the traveller, who will only stop there on his way to or from the neighbouring country. The village is pleasant, lively and authentic. There are petrol stations, exchange offices and fast-food restaurants. There are a few accommodations not far from the village, offering comfortable rooms and camping pitches to suit all budgets. From Sherwood, the Gaborone-Francistown axis can be reached from Palapye by a paved road about 100 km away.
