Kubu Lodge, a haven of peace, has lovely wooden and thatched cottages on stilts, with all the comforts.
The name Kubu means "hippopotamus" in Setswana. In fact, these mammals seem to have a strong predilection for the greasy grass of the lawns of this peaceful camp, established on the banks of the Chobe River. Special attention is paid to the flora and the lush green spaces turn Kubu Lodge into a tropical haven. Verbents and birds know it well and come to play in front of the terraces of the 11 charming wooden and thatched chalets on stilts. These chalets have all the necessary comfort. A change of scenery, peace and quiet and a pleasure for the eyes are guaranteed.

Owner's Message
There is a place on the banks of the Chobe River in the tropical climate of northern Botswana, where tranquility and wild beauty reign. Antelopes, warthogs, green monkeys,..., abound and hippos are lords of the domain. This place is Kubu Lodge, a small 3 star lodge, very well kept.
The 11 thatched cottages are spread over this large plot of land, shaded by trees and a beautiful lawn that extends to the river's edge. The cottages are made of wood, each with a terrace, perfectly equipped (mosquito nets, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, shower with hot and cold running water, hair dryer and electric...) and furnished with taste, giving you the comfort of home.
The natural site on which Kubu Lodge is located is enchanting.

Service is an A+ all around - the restaurant staff are super attentive, front office staff are very helpful, and the other staff members we spoke to are all very helpful and friendly
The location is stunning - right on the bank of the chobe river, we loved seeing the wildlife visitors (bush bucks, warthogs, mongoose) on the lawns while eating
