Voluntary association having for objective the promotion of the tourist sites related to the waterways and the water bodies in Mons
The non-profit association Voies d'Eau du Hainaut is dependent on the Provincial Tourism Federation. Its objectives are the promotion of tourism sites related to the inland waterways and the bodies of water attached to the provincial institution, in close collaboration with the Tourist Offices. Among the remarkable sites that it proposes to discover, there is the Canal du Centre historique and its hydraulic lifts, the inclined plane of Ronquières or even the funicular boat lift of Strépy-Thieu and its bridge-channel (Maison du Tourisme du Parc des Canaux et Châteaux). It also offers "family relaxation" days on the channels, allowing you to cross by boat these various majestic structures (possibility of catering on the boat). Boat rental for group cruises or family gatherings. Bike rental from the hydraulic lift n° 3 to continue the discovery on the dry land.
