VIRETTA PARK - KURT COBAIN MEMORIAL BENCH
Park / Garden

Located just south of the house where Kurt cobain, the charismatic leader of the Grunge group, ended his days (at 171 Lake Washington Blvd E), this park became a place of pilgrimage for fans, who made one of the wooden benches of the park a de facto memorial to the singer's memory. The bench is continuously covered with inscriptions and other testimonies of recognition, and fans rallies take place on the anniversary of his death (April 5, 1994).
