Just a 30-minute drive south of Moncton (via Route 114), a stop at Hopewell Rocks is the most famous geological environment in the province: the tides are impressive and it is one of the few places to access the ocean floor and the Bay of Fundy at low tide. The famous monoliths of the provincial park, known here as "flowerpots" and featured on many New Brunswick postcards, can be seen up close. At high tide, these natural wonders can be seen on guided sea kayaking tours (the evening tour starting at dusk is truly amazing).
