Museum that provides a better understanding of the history of Kauai with a special emphasis on the history of the native Hawaiian people

This lovely museum provides a better understanding of the history of Kauai but also of Hawaii in general, with a special emphasis on the history of the native Hawaiian people and their culture. It traces the discovery of the island by Captain Cook (1778), the sugar era and the Hawaiian monarchy (with beautiful authentic outfits on display!) and also part of the history of surfing in a separate room. This is really the most interesting museum on Kauai! The most impatient can even try the virtual visit of the museum on their website!
