MAUNA LOA LOOKOUT 

From this point of view, we can admire Mauna Loa. It is the largest volcano in the world because it rises 17 km high from its underwater base. Its summit reaches 4,170 m, which makes it the second highest peak in Hawai'i (after Mauna Kea). Finally, with its 5,271 km², Mauna Loa occupies half of the island, all by itself! It is also at the Mauna Loa Lookout that the Mauna Loa Trail begins, which leads to the summit of Mauna Loa; to be reserved for seasoned hikers as it takes 3 days to make the round trip!
