A terminal that houses an important scientific research center focused mainly on environmental protection.

The work of architect Luís Pedro Silva is a building that cannot be missed when walking along the beach towards Matosinhos: of contemporary architecture, it stands like a huge white nave in the middle of the sea and stretches like a giant ribbon on the southern access pier to the port of Leixões. In addition to being the passenger terminal for the cruise ships that call, it also houses an important scientific research center focused mainly on environmental protection.
