THE POST - FORT PENA COLORADO

This small park is located on the site of Fort Pena Colorado, opened by the U.S. army from 1879 and served as an essential connection point between Fort Clark and Fort Davis. There is nothing left of it today. Nature has regained its rights, for the great pleasure of Marathon dwellers who often relax on the edge of the park's vast pond. It is, however, without great interest, and is rarely frequented by tourists.
