Comprised of a Chihuahua mountain range, it is home to desert wildlife, starting with sotol, lechugilla,ocotillo and various yuccas, which will be encountered again in Big Bend National Park. All in all, the Franklin Mountains are a taste of what you'll find in Big Bend. They offer numerous campsites.
