Statue of a height of nearly 2.50 m which imposes as much by its style as by its dimensions in Lubbock.
Buddy Holly is one of the most famous rock'n'roll singers of the 50s. With a height of nearly 2.50 m, the statue is imposing as much by its style as by its dimensions. Guitar in hand, Buddy Holly plays with the visitors, fond of a photo stop at his side. Sculpted by Grant Speed in 1980, the Buddy Holly statue is surrounded by a walk of fame, honoring other Texas musicians such as Waylon Jennings and Mac Davis. You can also visit his birth address, 1911 6th St, marked with a "Buddy Holly Historical Marker".
