This suspension bridge, built in 1870, is one of the symbols of the city.
One of the symbols of the city, this bridge is the kind of monument that generation after generation of residents will always fight to maintain. It was built in 1870 with cables supplied by a company that also supplied the engineers who worked on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. This suspension bridge crosses the Brazos River, containing almost three million bricks, and connects Indian Spring Park with Doris D. Miller Park. It's a great place for a pleasant walk or bike ride.
