A strange monument that confirms the slogan Keep Austin weird. Unquestionably a form of American art brut, the cathedral of junk, trash, is a phantasmagorical site and a true work of art for good reason. In a maximalist style, the cathedral is adorned with layers and details that you can quickly miss if you don't stay long enough. If you call ahead, the owner will often be kind enough to give you a guided tour. The cathedral contains three levels, with the entire structure built from garbage.
