BYZANTINE FRESCO CHAPEL

This modern chapel housed the dome and apse of a th century Cypriot Byzantine chapel. Loaned by Cyprus to be restored, it was returned to its place of origin in 2012. The chapel was built by François de Menil in 1992, only to expose these two pieces. The modern ensemble is absolutely sublime, with its different levels of interior light. Since 2012, temporary exhibitions have been held in the chapel featuring contemporary art installations.
