LA CARAFE

Simply unmissable! You come here more for the history than for a coffee or a glass of wine. The Carafe is housed in the oldest building in downtown Houston. This is where the market used to be. The anti-sports crowd will note that this is one of the few bars in the United States that doesn't have a television. This is probably because the regulars here have a lot to talk about. It is above all a bar where one comes to discuss, exchange, and learn about the city. We will also read dozens of signatures covering the counter.
