CAFE EVANGELINE

Well installed in a nice historical building that once housed a bank, this restaurant is our best address in town for lunch or dinner. Of course, Louisiana specialties are never far away (po-boys, shrimp & grits, etc.), but the menu here is more diversified with, for example, trout almondine, seafood pancakes, tuna steak, roast duck, stuffed chicken breast or filet mignon. For a simpler meal, salads and sandwiches will do the trick.
