ST. JOSEPH PLANTATION

Right next to the famous Oak Alley is this slightly more modest and less known sugar cane plantation. We will surely tell you about its little sister, Felicity Plantation, known for having hosted the filming of several movies including 12 Years a Slave. The two plantations actually merged in 1890 to form the St. Joseph Plantation and Manufacturing Company. According to the Live Oak Society of Louisiana, the plantation has 16 officially registered oak trees.
