TAMMANY TRACE

Between the towns of Covington and Slidell there is a paved trail of about 50 km, part of which runs along the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Pick up a brochure at a tourist office to find out where it is and discover the different sections. You can walk part of it, cycle part of it or even ride a horse. The Tammany Trace offices are located in Mandeville. Look for the green train car if you are looking for the visitor center. To rent bikes, visit Brook's Bike Shop.
