This is one of the options for lunch and dinner in the charming interlacing of pastel-colored villas on the street along Lake Pontchartrain. The breathtaking view from its terrace is reminiscent of the waterfront promenades of southwestern France. Devastated by Katrina, its regulars say that it has only become better. The food is quite good, especially the seafood. Again, reservations are recommended, as Rip's on the Lake has a certain reputation and is one of the few places in Old Mandeville.
