Arriving from Franceville, cross the city center of Moanda and take the direction of Bakoumba, at the roundabout on the left. It takes about 1 hour to cover the 55 km that separate Moanda from Bakoumba. Located at an altitude of 800 m, this small village was formed with the arrival of Comilog in 1953. Its history is closely linked to the economic activity of manganese mining, as is the case for the entire region. Apart from a few bushes and some shops, one ventures to Bakoumba only to visit its site: park and history related to manganese exploitation!
