Another boat is scheduled for December with passenger compartment and luggage compartment. It will serve West Africa to Central Africa (Togo, Cameroon, São Tomé, Equatorial Guinea). Castel puts two boats at the disposal of the passengers: a large catamaran, the most comfortable of both, but slower: 25 min; and a small shuttle that runs in 15 minutes. The company offers a snack on the catamaran and a Castel beer on return. The catamaran, reserved for large groups, can rent for half a day or a day of trekking on the Komo. As far as the rate is concerned, you must call and agree with the company.

Luggage of 20 kg is included in the fare. Remember to check in early if you have several pieces of luggage. The journey is made inside on comfortable seats. The service on board is professional and a small bar allows you to refresh yourself or to cut a small hunger with a snack. Allow about 3 hours to reach Port-Gentil or Libreville.

Departure point for boats to Port-Gentil. Created in 1952, it's a lively place where restaurateurs and small traders stock up on wholesale supplies. Only a few restaurants remain, the others having been relocated in view of the forthcoming rehabilitation of the port, which is now in an advanced state of disrepair. The Office des Ports et Rades du Gabon (Oprag) plans to modernize the port by renovating the lanes, building a shopping center and developing a mini logistics base. It's a project that could change the face of the city, but it's a long time coming.
