PLAYA PUNTA CAROLA

If you want to see sea turtles, swimming sea lions and rays without learning to dive, this is the place to go without hesitation. To reach it from the town centre, continue along the road past the Gran Hotel San Cristóbal and follow a small stone path to the coral beach, lined with volcanic rocks. Like almost everywhere in San Cristobal, you can see colonies of sea lions on land and many birds, pelicans and frigate birds in particular. A famous surfing spot, the best season is from January to March.
