Transesmeraldas coaches are relatively comfortable. Don't be surprised if you wake up in the night to check your papers (which you must always have on yourself!) and search your bags. It is proximity to the Colombian border that wants this.

The transesmeraldas are buses more comfortable than those you can take in daily life. Do not expect to spend a night pleasant if you travel by night but it is transport the least expensive. Careful: 3 looking for one day and do not be surprised if you wakes up in the middle of the night for checking of papers (passport or valid identity card, it is always have them on you!) and excavates handbags, back!
