Garden with endemic and exotic plant species

Designed as a natural laboratory for biology students at the University of Loja, the Reinaldo Espinosa Botanical Garden covers 7 hectares and is a pleasant and instructive walk for the traveller sensitive to the beauty of nature. Founded in 1949, it contains endemic and exotic plant species; the park is divided into several sections, including an arboretum, a plot of specific Andean plants and a corner reserved for orchids.
