SANGAY VOLCAN

This dangerous volcano dominates the national park of the same name. It is one of the most vehement volcanoes of the country and even of the subcontinent. It is also one of the rare volcanoes in the world in a state of almost permanent eruptive activity. Indeed, in perpetual activity since 1934, it can only be approached with extreme caution... and by circuitous routes, especially since its slopes rise almost vertically. A short week is therefore necessary to climb this conical stratovolcano flirting with the clouds at 5,230 m.
