This former convent is one of the city's most interesting testimonies to its religious and colonial traditions. Over the course of 14 rooms, you'll discover an interesting exhibition of religious paintings and sculptures from the 17th and 18th centuries by the Quito school, pieces of goldsmith's and silversmith's art, as well as a fine collection of objects from the colonial era and a nun's cell. The centerpiece of the collection was a magnificent gold monstrance, stolen some years ago.

Un musée qui regroupe de belles œuvres d’ordre religieux. Pour ceux qui ont visité le musée du monastère de Cuenca, le bâtiment est moins intéressant mais les pièces présentées sont de meilleure facture.
