LAS SEPULTURAS

Located 3 km from the site, the ruins of what would have been a residential area of the Maya nobility were found there. It is composed of about blocks of dwellings, only about of which have been for the moment explored.

One can observe the relationship between the different social classes and the architecture. Groups with complete stone architecture belonged to the highest social classes. As a result, they were better preserved than those of the lower classes.
