MUSEO DE LAS ESCULTURAS

The superb sculpture museum is worth a visit. Built under a hill, it is designed to represent the Mayan vision of the cosmos. It comes from a kind of tunnel in the mouth of a snake, representing the entrance of the underground world. In addition to the magnificent colourful replica of the Rosalila temple, on a real scale, you will find many original sculptures, which were restored and preserved here sheltered from rain, sun and wind.
