MUSEO DE LA CULTURA COTZUMALGUAPA

To the east of the city, the finca Las Ilusiones has gone from growing coffee to growing sugar cane in 70 years. Most importantly, in the early 2000s, it opened a museum that houses some of the beautiful pieces discovered at the El Bilbao site in the mid-19th century. The collection includes small everyday objects, as well as the reconstruction of a sacrificial altar, photographs of stelae and an engraving of a mythological creature.
