Church with a beautiful facade and storefront housing the first performance of the Inmaculada Concepción.
From a tourist point of view, Salcajá is interesting for its Catholic church, the first one in the country. According to different sources, it was built in 1524 or 1525. Also known as La Conquistadora and San Jacinto, it houses the first representation of the Inmaculada Concepción, taken from Spain. Its beautiful facade differs from all those found in the region and stands out for its beautifully crafted finishes.
