MERCADO

Every Monday, the village is animated by a crowd almost exclusively made up of K'iche' peasants who have come down from the mountains. Spared from the tourist influx, this market is one of the most authentic in Guatemala. Fruits and vegetables, meats, fabrics, hardware... You can find there mainly everyday products, far from the souvenirs sold all over the country. A great opportunity to discover the K'iche' culture, while keeping in mind that discretion is required, as taking pictures can be considered too intrusive.
