RESTAURANTE CASA JUAN

The small, sunny courtyard of this beautifully decorated restaurant offers a respite from the crowds of the market, just a stone's throw from the church of Santo Tomás. People come here for the "chichicasteak" - a juicy piece of meat cooked a la plancha - for the churrasco, or for the "especial San Juan", a plank of lomito, chicken fillet and sausage. The house has only a few vegetarian alternatives, such as the vegetable plate, served with plantains, guacamole, beans, rice and tortilla.
