VOLCÁN SAN PEDRO

At an altitude of 3,020 metres, the volcano dominates the village. Located just to the south, it offers a panorama of rare beauty over the lago de Atitlán, after a hike of 2h30 to 3h30, depending on your pace. The problem: a growing number of assaults, affecting both solo travellers and groups accompanied by a guide. At the time of our visit, not even the tour operators dared to organize excursions there. So, before you set off on your ascent, we strongly recommend that you find out for yourself.
