The ruins of the Jesuit college and church have been restored and turned into a training center for cultural activities.
Inaugurated in 1582 and 1626 respectively, the Jesuit college and church quickly succumbed to the various earthquakes that hit Antigua at that time. For a while, the ruins housed a handicraft market, until the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development took over the building in 1992 and turned it into a training center. Today, this colonial building has been remarkably restored and is the scene of many cultural activities.
