Sete Cidades Park is a few hours'drive from Fortaleza, Parnaíba or Camocim.A little freshness and altitude in green decor in perspective are welcome for the traveler of northern Brazil, looking for a real discovery of this huge country off the beaten tracks. Or simply the desire to see what happens inside…The main attraction of the park lies in its impressive rock formations. The imagination will find fertile ground in these geological monuments. Some are, it seems (!) an incredible resemblance to animals such as the stones of the elephant and turtle. Others look more like people, here the head of the Emperor Dom Pedro, here the Magi. Some have seen, in these eroded rocks, over 200 million years ago, the vestiges of an ancient civilization.Others, less seriously, see rather the traces of an alien passage. Fox Mulder is of course on the verge. In some imposing rocks, there are picturesque cave inscriptions, the heritage of the peoples who lived in the region, a long time ago. The park is bathed by many legends and mysteries, such as the solstice hole and the remnants of Indian civilizations and, surprisingly, Egyptian and Phoenician. With a good reception structure and good bathing facilities (waterfalls and natural pools), the park offers a beautiful opportunity to wander, ideally combining with the park of Ubajara.
