Domaines viticoles Bergholtz

Almost half of the planted area of this 18 ha estate is located on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Kessler, Saering, Kitterlé and Spiegel. The Dirler-Cadés attribute the crystalline character of their wines to the siliceous soils of these eroded sandstone terroirs of the Bundsandstein. All parcels are cultivated biodynamically since 1998. The grapes are harvested by hand, the pressing is done by pneumatic press, and after the vinification, the wines are aged on lees for 10 months. This work gives birth to beautiful vintages to discover during a commented tasting.

Céline Loberger and her father Jean-Jacques manage this 8 ha biodynamic estate. Benefiting from an ideal sunshine, the vines are spread over the Grands Crus Kitterle, Saering and Spiegel at an altitude varying from 250 to 480 meters. Some parcels are planted on slopes of up to 60%! Embodying a seductive facet of Alsatian viticulture in the feminine, Céline elaborates wines in her image, authentic and full of pep! We love her Pinot Gris Grand Cru Saering Cuvée Florian with its sweet aromas of apricot peach.

The estate operates 13 ha and has been practicing biodynamic viticulture since 1969, after Eugène, the father, suffered from a serious poisoning due to an insecticide. It was then as a self-taught man that he began to apply the advice found in his readings. Some of the estate's plots are planted on the Grand Cru Spiegel. Today, it is François, Eugène's son, who looks after the estate. Here you will find excellent wines all made from organic grapes: Sylvaner 2009 Cuvée des 40 ans de Biodynamie, Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Spiegel 2018, Crémant Blanc de Noirs Brut Cuvée de la Cave Dîmière, among other good vintages!
