LOPANA

Beach restaurant €€

This is Maceió's most famous beach restaurant-barraca , voted best "barraca" by Veja magazine on numerous occasions. Thanks to its reputation, places fill up quickly, especially at weekends, when you need to arrive before 12pm to be sure of getting a table and not waiting for hours. The dishes are carefully prepared and a little more elaborate than elsewhere. If you're feeling a little hungry, you can also opt for a mouth-watering petisco accompanied by a fruit cocktail served directly from the pineapple. During the summer, a DJ provides the ambiance.

MARÉ MANSA

Seafood Restaurant

The Maré Mansa restaurant is a charming place and a little more economical than the other "barracas" along the avenue. Located in Pajuçara, on a slightly more popular stretch of the waterfront, Maré Mansa offers well-served fish dishes. It's not quite haute cuisine, but it's a good compromise. The sound atmosphere is also more pleasant than the kiosks next door. Take a seat on the terrace and enjoy the breeze and the beautiful setting with a view of the sea, almost with your feet in the water.

KANOA BEACH BAR

Beach restaurant €€

Kanoa Beach Bar is one of the most popular beach barraca restaurants on the seafront, along with Lopana. The offer is similar to that of the other "chic" barraca in Maceio: you can find the traditional dishes of fish, seafood and local products, such as the fish fillet "agulinha" rolled in coalho cheese. In the morning, the bar is open, but the kitchen only starts around noon. No showers here, and there is an extra charge to use the sun loungers on the beach. Nice location.
