The locality of Barra Grande is better known than the peninsula to which it belongs, Maraú. Most of the pousadas, bars and restaurants of the peninsula are concentrated in this village, at the end of a long spit of land of 45 km. It feels like being on an island in this simple and quiet place with dirt and sand streets. The secret of its isolation is its limited and somewhat difficult access. For a little, one would believe in scenes of villages of the cinema novo of the 70s, so much time seems to have stopped there. The old fishing village atmosphere is totally preserved. Hush, don't tell anyone!
