Hotel offering very nice cabins surrounded by the rainforest, and more isolated bungalows perched in the trees
Nestled on a white sandy beach, in the heart of the jungle and lush tropical gardens, Ylang Ylang offers pretty cabins and bungalows perched in the trees. If you can, opt for this option: it's cosy, and there's a special vantage point from which to observe the monkeys. The establishment has a swimming pool, yoga studio and spa. As for the cuisine, the menu is excellent and the service adorable - the epitome of pura vida! Let yourself be tempted by a romantic dinner on the beach at sunset. An exquisite experience.

A truly extraordinary gem built, owned and operated with loving hands and hearts. This lush tropical paradise gives you the feeling that you are living in the jungle, complete with native trees, plants and animals. Lots of brown faced and howler monkeys, iguanas, agoutis, coati and other native species free roam the property. The magestic and scenic beach affords beautiful hiking and swimming opportunities. Recharge your soul with regular yoga classes taught by masters. Dine in the oceanfront restaurant with locally sourced food with eclectic and extensive menu. All in all, this is a place to experience wild Costa Rica in a truly unique setting. Recharge your soul and book a stay here.

My wife and I chose this part of Costa Rica because of its reputation as an off-the-beaten-path gem, and those are the exact words I'd use after our trip. The Ylang Ylang is the perfect choice in an already perfect place. This location is wild enough to give the feeling of genuine travel, yet comfortable enough to keep worries at bay. I don’t like feeling like a tourist, even if I am one, and the Ylang Ylang made me feel like an adventurer who appreciates air conditioning. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow. It was clean, comfortable, and quite literally 10 steps from a stunning and isolated beach with remarkably warm water. However, it's not the best place to swim as the shore-breaking waves and reef rocks might cause harm. But there's no such concern with the hotel pool. My only advice is to stay hydrated since walking long distances on the beach is unavoidable. If you're like me and want to experience something special, avoid the crowds, crave adventure but also want the comfort of a good mattress, and want to be asking yourself, "Where am I? Is this real?" then stay at the Ylang Ylang.

I love this resort. It is beautiful and a great location near town. I went for a yoga retreat and all of the staff was accommodating. I also enjoyed meeting the owners and learning their beautiful story. I definitely will be back.

Brałam udział w zajęciach jogi na zasadzie drop-in class. Było nas 5 osób co dawało duży komfort praktyki. Najlepsze miejsce do jogi w jakim byłam. Piękne widoki, szum oceanu, którego nie trzeba sobie wyobrażać, tylko jest z nami tu i teraz. Prowadząca doświadczona i uprzejma, czas relaksu, wyciszenia komfortowy. Piękny drewniany taras, pomoce jogowe są na miejscu, nie trzeba brać nic ze sobą. To była przyjemność praktykować w międzynarodowej grupie ????( grudzień 2022)
