Jean-Michel Deiss is an exceptional winegrower who vigorously defends the complantation - which was used not so long ago - and the emphasis on the link to the terroir in a region where the grape variety is king. From the Vignoble du champ de failles de Ribeauvillé (38 ha), Jean-Michel and Mathieu his son produce astonishing wines of great complexity and moving aromas. Part of the estate is located on the terroir of the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim. Marcel Deiss wines are certainly rather expensive, but what a delight to taste!
