IGLESIA SAN JUAN DE DIOS

The Iglesia San Juan de Dios houses the second representation of the Holy Spirit in Latin America via a statue. Only Peru has another one. Built in the first half of the 18th century, it has only one nave, and its wooden altarpiece is most remarkable. The convent that adjoins it houses a museum - the Museo San Juan de Dios, open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 9am to 1pm - that houses many elements of Camagüey's history as well as some paintings that are worth a look.
