Integrated in the site of the Valley of the Ingenios, this village used to be one of the most important sugar factories of the 19th century. Its 42.5 meter high tower stands out from the landscape. It is possible to climb to the top and admire the Ingenios Valley (1 €). Two legends are maintained to explain the construction of this amazing tower: Mr. Iznaga would have built it either to follow from up there the work of his slaves, or to be able to watch... his wife! Admire here one of the last sugar cane mills(tapiche).

beaucoup trop de monde! belle vue sur la vallée de los Ingenios. Apparemment le vieux train ne circule plus: ça enlève beaucoup le charme à cette excursion.

de l’extérieur la vue sur la tour est magique et sur le paysage environnant aussi : de petits cochons couchés à même le sol dans un environnement très rural. La monté est un peu rude mais à votre rythme rien d’extraordinaire;Arrivé au sommet la photo que tout le monde prend à travers les ouvertures et sur la région....Magnifique.Accès en taxi pour notre part.
