OLD PLANTATION SAN ISIDRO DE LOS DESTILADEROS

This old sugar factory is very well preserved and has been restored. The house of the Catalan owner of the plantation is still standing and you can understand how the sugar factory worked: some of the old mechanisms are still there. But to understand everything, you really have to take the guided tour, otherwise you will miss the essential historical information. However, you should know that the guide speaks Spanish and English only, not French.
