CASA DE CLOUET

Also known as the Casa del Fundador (Founder 's House), this building was the residence of Don Luis de Clouet, a native of Bordeaux and founder of the city in the 19th century. However, it was not until the 1940s (1941 to be precise) that the building reached its final appearance. A commemorative plaque is inlaid in the wall of the old house, which has now been converted into several commercial premises: the Central Café and the souvenir store El Fundador (handicrafts, cigars, rum, clothes, etc.).
