Travel Guide Ream

Ream (7th incarnation of Vishnu) is located at the end of a peninsula closed on the ocean side by small islands that protect it from southwest winds. Serving as a base for the Royal Khmer Navy, the place has nevertheless a lot of charm... A fine sandy beach lined with filaos invites you to swim. The slope is quite steep, and the depth of about ten meters near the shore allows ships with strong draught to dock at the pier. The beach is backed by a rather high hill, reputed to be full of game in the 1930s. The landscape is superb. The small islands emerging from the bay are reminiscent of some lake in Italian Switzerland.
